People here plan on getting a next gen console now? Soon? Way, way later?
What are your deciding factors?
What game(s) are you interested in at launch, if any?

Basically this is the first launch in my life I could possibly technically dip into the savings and get a console on Day 1, but for me, at present, it's no where near worth it.
I am very interested in Demon's Souls, but that's literally it right now. And no where near interested enough to spend console price + game price (did you see games have gone up, and are now 89.99 CDN? fuckers...)
Anyway, that's my unsolicited babble on this front. It's nice to have a moment to post unsolicited babble again.

Getting the PS5 at launch, probably getting Cyberpunk first, maybe Black Ops. Was fortunate to get the PS4 day 1 and the PS3 6-months after.
Luckily have points on my Shoppers Optimum which can fetch me a spare controller and a game or two. I like the look of Demon Souls and Spider-Man as well, but not at those price points

I'm gonna wait a year, probably next Black Friday, so I can dip into a premium version of either the PS5 or XSX.
Right now? Not a chance. Not enough titles that intrigue me for both sides.

More exclusives, the load times are faster, and I think that controller is going to be game changing. Haha right wings. I hate spending full price on games, but feel I need at least one. It looks the best of the bunch imo |

I decided that instead of going for a day 1 launch, I would hang tight and try and get through some of my pile of games that are backlogged.
Right now I'm wrapping up a remastered go at Skyrim.
Then I'll be jumping over to Red Dead 2, Borderlands 3, Outer Worlds, and then I still have a bunch of other odds and ends games I haven't gotten to, like Evil Within 2, Resident Evil 7. I'm probably a year or two away just on backlogs, and I don't think I'll be missing out on much for the first little bit, especially given the limited time I even have to commit to playing.
