Anybody who's top 3 players played less than (say 60) games on the season should move down a few spots in the draft automatically.
Anyone who benches them to the 4th line should drop down a few spots automatically as well.
Although I also recently put my 4th string goalie in because I wanted to drop a few games (mostly I blame you all as I saw you goofs tanking too) so I'll stop that now.

Theres a big difference too if your team isn't very good and you trade your assets for picks for a few years, and have a bad team and lose honestly. Its another thing entirely when you have one of the better teams on paper and you bench multiple superstars to take high picks from teams that need them fair and square.

Then don't do stupid shit like that guys. Benching or relegating your superstars to the 4th line just to get a higher draft pick is, effectively, cheating and it's not fair to the rest of the league. I'm not surprised Stars & Blues called you out on it. 🤷
If you want to tank, do it legitimately and trade off your superstars for a shitty team and earn the higher by actually being a bad team.

This isn't an attack on anyone's integrity, it's that we want people to want to win, and build teams, and if you want to get high draft picks, then trade guys away and get what you can for them and then do the grind. I want people to enjoy the site as much as they can, but the point is to enjoy the guys we had in the 90s. We can't enjoy them if they aren't playing. We even post people's career stats and I'm tracking that stuff and it's more fun to see guys win awards and stuff.
Don't let it discourage you.

(just going to say this, the two smart GMs figured out the actual right play immediately *shrug emoji*) I came back on to address my actions afterwards. Going to take a bit of a break from both leagues and rest up with my personal life. No hard feelings to any party here. |
