Someone moves their team to st louis and meets ottawa in finals and ottawa loses and grows to hate st louis domination.
Buffalo has a year where crosby gets 100 assists and ovechkin has 70 goals because they are finally paired with the legendary boyd devereaux.

What was McDavid going to be rated? Since our ratings were made 3 and a half years ago, everyone coming in the past few seasons has needed a re-rating because, for many, A LOT changed in those 3 years since they were rated. So it looks like McDavid's rating from 3 years ago was 97. At some point, likely well over a year ago, I added a note updating it to 98. Nothing was finalized, but that was the range. |

Yeah Gretz and Mario were 97 so we just defaulted him.
We can probably post a ratings look at next drafts knowing none were adjusted but also a collective (here is where everyone was rated) for the hell of it.

Ottawa fans get annoyed because all their franchise records happened in St Louis and they'll never escape that history (like how Kovalchuk is the current Jets all time franchise goal scorer)
Also the Sens owner hangs the three Blues cup banners in the Ottawa arena and the team gets made fun of it for decades.
