So, I'm just in my phone and am too busy to look at the detailed statistics, but just a quick look at Robert Reichel. Just want to see if he can get a +1 overall boost for his 2 monster seasons and his dominance in the German and Czech leagues (which wont help, I know).

Reichel has been improved to 84.

Do players downgrade? Or are their ratings based off of the prime of their careers? Gretzky comes in at Gretzky and stays Gretzky until he retires. No upgrades. No downgrades.

Alright since everyone is doing it
25 Uwe Krupp 82 D 13 YR - I'm not going to pretend to know this player, but two GMs said he's rated on the lower side.
19 Brad B. May 79 F 20 YR - Better PPG and years than Domi, and Domi is an 82

Isn't Krupp's claim to fame scoring the Stanley Cup winning goal in '96?

Based on that standard I would like to request for Guy Lafleur to have his rating increased. 5 Stanley Cups 3 Art Ross Trophies 3 Ted Lindsay Awards 2 Hart Memorial Trophies 1 Conn Smythe Trophy His accolades speaks for itself. If we are basing overalls on the prime of a player's career then he should be a 94-95.

There's a lot of guys like LaFleur like Larry Robinson

But we're basing overalls on their primes? By that standard all the young guys 90+ shouldn't be there because they haven't accomplished anything yet. They're still babies and he's a grandpa but they should all be getting their absolute highest rating.

Do players downgrade? Or are their ratings based off of the prime of their careers? The ACTUAL answer to this, from the guy who helped make the damned ratings system) is this: - Players with a career left are brought into their maximum overall potential based on where they are and where they will go (meaning rookies are created to be in their prime) - Players currently in their peak are made in their peak - Legends who are retiring soon and WELL past their prime (Robinson, LaFleur, Ryan Smyth), were made as a hybrid of their 1990-91 real life performance, factored in with their overall career. In Lafleur's case, you can see by his season and age, a 90 is an INSANELY generous overall for that production. In that respect, players here WILL not downgrade, but some already have, and were made thusly. Hope that clears up some confusion.
