21 Curtis Leschyshyn 77 D 14 YR Played over 1000 games, was a solid DFD stuck on bad teams. Once he played on better teams like the 1992-96 Quebec Nordiques/Colorado Avalanche and he was a key component to their Stanley Cup championship in 1996. An upgrade to around an 84 would be good. 20 Alexander Karpovtsev 79 D 16 YR Plagued by the shitty team bug, Alex was a great player for the Rangers on their way to the Stanley Cup in 1994. A solid DFD that wasn't scared to use his body to keep players away from his goalie. An upgrade to an 82 would be good. Leschyshyn has been improved to an 81. Won a Stanley cup and had moderate stats in that run and played every game. Got him a bit of a boost. Alexander Karpovtsev remains the same. Has no justifiable awards, is a career almost zero point producing player, sucks his had bad injuries, but other than 1 decent season, it doesn't really fit the bill to move him up. Karpovstev I can understand even though I think he should be at least an 80. Leschyshyn on the other hand I think should still be higher especially when a player like Marty McSorley is an 82. He may not have posted points but the man was a pure DFD and when with a team that actually knew how to play hockey he was a key player for them. 19 Adam Foote 86 D 21 YR One of the greatest DFD of all time. He would do anything it took to keep the puck out of his net. He is a two time Stanley Cup champion, being the go to dman both times. He also won a gold with Canada at the Olympics in 2002.

D Jeff Beukeboom 81 (EDM) ===> Probably should be about an 83-84 really. Was briefly captain of the Oilers, won 5 Cups. He peaked as a top 2-4 D with the Rangers after leaving Edmonton; often playing with Leetch once hitting Manhattan towards the end of his career, and was a better D than Marty McSorley, who's rated 82, which is fair.

20 Rod Brind Amour 87 F 20 YR Nearly 1200 points in his career, two Selkes. More points, points per game, and awards than, for example, Owen Nolan and Gary Roberts, both of whom are 90s 23 Nelson Emerson 79 F 12 YR Two 70 point seasons, career .633 ppg, could probably go up an overall or two Toronto Maple Leafs

is it a dick move to suggest people be lowered? Cuz...I have suggestions...... Depends on who it is I'm sure. There are a few, but it like by 1 or 2, not like 5 or 6. The have to still be able to play in the league in some cases, especially this early.

He also won a gold with Canada at the Olympics in 2002. As a Colorado fan, I want to agree with this assessment. But as a Colorado fan, I respectfully feel this is an overstatement, because of things like Rob Blake and Ray Bourque in 2001, and things like Ozolinsh, Krupp, Gusarov, Lefebvre in 1996.

is it a dick move to suggest people be lowered? Cuz...I have suggestions...... Honestly.....it might not be the worst idea to restart and do a total overhaul of overalls.... This site was not a whim. We did this many times. Some guys slipped through, but hours were spent getting here. They are not hours I am interested in revisiting at this point, since like, 96% of the ratings are pretty damned good. The other 4% will be caught here, and it's pretty much a guarantee we won't be boosting anyone after they have been traded, cuz shadiness. And like any game, and every EA NHL game, people will disagree with ratings. Such is the nature of life. This is just to catch a few stragglers. And I am confident we will.

Adam Foote remains an 86. Curtis Leschyshyn remains an 81.
Joe Mullen has been increased to an 87.
Rob Brind'Amour has been increased to an 89. Please note that overalls are not indicative of defensive qualities, and that merit can be reflected in sims, rather than overalls. An unfortunate nature of the world that people aren't necessarily recognized in the world for defensive qualities.
Nelson Emerson has been bumped to an 81. His comparable in that range is Craig Simpson, who is rated 80.
Jeff Beukeboom remains an 81 after evaluation.
Please note: it would be unlikely we would adjust any player that has been traded.

request permission to change Rod Brind'Amour's name to Rod Van Brind'Amour III? Can we, as a league, just like...agree on that and lock that down?

PROCESSED
(posting this because its easier to keep track of progress and updates and reviews when we have little "checkpoints" all over.)
