To Ryan Miller 89 G 19 YR COL 2004 1st - Top 5 protected, moves to COL 2006 1st. To Henrik Lundqvist 91 G 17 YR NYR 2004 2ND - Top 3 protected, moves to NYR 2005 2nd. BUF 2004 2ND Lundqvist is my favourite goalie of all-time (outside of the beautiful Jack Campbell) and I have been after him since his draft. Moving a 1st hurts but worth it to have my homie King Hank. Mike - Condition now adjusted. Colorado traded 2006 1st, so if the pick is Top 5 protected, Colorado must provide replacement level player or another draft pick to New York's satisfaction. Replacement level player will be the rating of 6th overall selection in 2004 draft, or player value of rank in 2006 1st, at the discretion of the New York Rangers.

Agreed - as much as I love Lundqvist myself, adding a first only speeds up my build into a contender, and Ryan Miller is almost just as good a player.

Also for clarification: if the 2004 2nd falls on picks 22, 23, or 24 overall, I keep it and the Avs get my 2005 2nd round pick.

The 04 draft is super shallow isn't it? The pick being top 5 protected seems fucked since Colorado made the Semi Finals this year somehow and is only improving with his 13 draft picks this year, so essentially Rangers is downgrading their goalie for a low 80s player. With how low the chances are that pick is a top 5, it should be unprotected lmao

I was going to come back to this to know if that was the case, because that's the first time I've seen a protection applied to a 2nd round pick haha but that works for me. Only difference is it will have to say "2005 2nd or next available 2nd" in case the 2005 is accidentally traded, which has happened.

Adjusted and please put on the pick ownership page my 2006 1st and his 2005 2nd as conditional so that we do not trade them.
