Game Summary:
What happens when you have two fully loaded teams firing from everywhere? You get an 18 goal game. The most disappointing part of this game for Pittsburgh is they won both the first and second period. They stayed out of the penalty box. They did everything right, until they didn't. Toronto outshot the Pens 15-9 in the third period, and they scored on 5 of those shots. Shanahan's hat trick took first star. Claude Lemieux took second for his three point night. I don't think anyone believes this will be a short series. This was just a matter of one team having more stamina than the other.

Game Summary:
Chicago hat it, then lost it, then had it again, then lost it. This time, the Blues fought through their defensive system and came out with the win. One major factor was the special teams. Hawks went 0/3, Blues went 3/5. Final shots were 38-35 for Chicago. Radek Bonk's hat trick stole the show for the night with the third coming as the game winner, and the only shot on net St. Louis had in overtime. A hot hand is a hot hand.
