WINS SERIES 4-1
Game Summary:
The Devils just ran out of energy. They had a wild run through the first round and stealing a game in this series, but the Pens depth was just too much to handle. A 4-1 first period had the game out of reach too quickly, but that didn't stop the Devils from roughing, cross-checking and all around showing they weren't going to accept getting beat up on the ice despite getting it handed to them on the scoreboard. It was a strong effort, but the road ends here for their run and the Pens are the first teama to advance to the Final 4.

LEADS SERIES 3-2
Game Summary:
Toronto doubled up the Whalers, but the score is more flattering than what actually happened in this one. Toronto came out of the gate early with a goal by Gilmour, then Gilmour and Andreychuk connect again to Marchment to go up 2-0. In the second period, the teams went 8-8 in shots, but this time it was the Whalers getting the best of their chances. Lindros' end to end individual effort was highlight of the night. In the third, the Leafs struck early to go up 3-2, then they scored two in 22 seconds to really hammer the door tightly. A quick retalation from Visnovsky kept the game close, but Leetch and Gilmour put it to rest to close out the third. The Leafs now carry a game on hand going back to Hartford, where the Whalers will look to regroup and try and force the series to go the distance. Gilmour's 4 points and Andreychuk's 3 apples are the stars of the night.

LEADS SERIES 3-2
Game Summary:
Colorado just won't go away! Two straight games they got to impose their defensive prowess, strong goaltending performances by Ryan Miller, and suddenly we have a legit series. The Blues squeezed by in Games 1 and 2, blew it open in 3, but the Avs seem to have found a way here to close it to 3-2 heading back to Colorado. What really helped is the Avs didn't take a single penalty in this game. They would not do the Blues any favors in this one. Wellwood and Moore combined for 3G 3A in the game, and Miller's incredible 0.941SV% keeps the series tight.

Game Summary:
Things are definitely going off a cliff a bit here for the Kings. They now trail in the series for the first time and are on the brink, but the one positive aspect is if the Hawks want to eliminate them, they'll have to do it on the road. Eric Desjardins' hat trick and 4 point night was spectacular in the win.
