What a wild third period! A 9 goal period had the fans losing their minds. It seemed like a "last goal wins" situation, Semin, Plekanec and Roy ending Sarnia's night with a combined 10 points. But the top 2 stars of the game were Ilya Kovalchuk with a 6 point night, and Jason Pominville's hat trick/5 point effort to solidify the win.

WINS SERIES 4-2
WINS THE S11 CHL CALDER CUP!
Ilya Kovalchuk wins the Calder Cup MVP
Sarnia got first blood, but didn't get last. A tied game right to the final 15 minutes of the game had nail biting at an all time high. When O'Sullivan secured the lead, Sudbury locked down defensively, restricting Sarnia to just 9 shots in the final frame. Perry added the insurance marker after a late penalty taken by Tim Gleason, and O'Sullivan buried a final goal to double the score in what was actually a very tight game. Patrick O'Sullivan takes first star honors with his hat trick in the win. The Wolves earn the Calder Cup win for Season 11! A great farewell party to Ilya Kovalchuk ahead of the draft.
