Officially 100% lost on all trade value now. To move up 4 draft places, the cost is one 82 D 17 YR. To move up 5 draft places, the cost is a 94 G 9YR. ...But you also get 82 F 11 YR back. Which is worth almost 4 draft places.... Further, in different words, the value-difference between 5th overall and 6th overall is exactly a 94 overall goalie...

You are also ignoring the player rating of each draft pick.
Trade 1 was a preference player 82 F plus 89 G with 20YR for a 9YR 94 goalie and an 84F in a limited interest goalie market for what the seller wanted for said goaltender.
Is 11YR on an 89 goalie worth 5 overall difference? Is his preference player worth a 1-2 overall and couple YR difference on the pick?
Trade 2 is an 82 D with high YR comparable to second highest D man in draft plus 84 F pick for 87 F pick.
Looking at it from just a pick movement perspective disregards actual numbers that teams are aware of through mckenzie scouting before pulling the trigger.
