This game had a lot going on in it. At 2-0, the Pens were not exactly skating easily to a victory. midway through the 2nd Period, after Claude Lemieux put the Pens up 3-0, a scuffle broke out after a nasty hit by Paul Ranheim left Ray Ferraro in pain. Bondra jumped to his aid, tackling Ranheim and earning himself 10 minutes in the box before the game could get out of hand. Regardless, the third period brought out more post-whistle scrums. Ranheim was in the middle of it again, as he and Zalapski had a brief tussle that was reduced to roughing each. Then Tony Granato and Steve Konowalchuk got into the mix as the game wore down to show their disatisfaction for their exit in Game 6. Luc Robitaille's powerplay goal with just over a minute left felt more like a "fuck you" than anything else in the game, just so that the Pens would have the last word. Pittsburgh will now continue their march to their first ever Stanley Cup Finals appearance.
