Tuomo Ruuttu just had the game of his young career, potting 4 points in the victory. The depth on Kamloops really took it hard to Sudbury, who's top line showed up but couldn't find any defensive help down the lineup.

Game 2 Notes:

The Wolves just do not have an answer so far for Gaborik and Cammalleri, who combined for 5 points on the night. Craig Anderson's 0.722SV% on the night will have to do better if Sudbury wants any chance of climbing out of a 0-2 deficit and making this a series. So far, Kamloops is proving their dominant season was not a fluke.

Game 3 Notes:

Kovalchuk and Reinprecht continue to be a bright start for the Wolves. But outside of that, they are just completely outmatched by the Blazers. Mike Cammalleri put on a show with 2 goals and 2 assists in the dominant Game 3 win, proving he is not to be overlooked with Gaborik as his linemate. One wonders which of these two offensive dynamos is the true talent leading the line.

Game 4 Notes:

Desperate times call for desperate measures, and the Wolves played like a desperate team clinging to their Calder Cup hopes with a solid 60 minute affair. It wasn't the top line making the magic happen, it was the depth scoring shutting down Kamloops. Petr Cajanek's 3 point night takes the cake.

Game 5 Notes:

Wolves fans will be happy with this one. Penalty trouble caused some concern, but all in all Sudbury at least showed they wouldn't go down without a fight. Alex Svitov earned the game winning goal, and Commodore's 2 goal performance overshadowed the 3 assist night for Mike Cammalleri as the Wolves close the gap to 3-2 in the series.

The comeback story fell short for the Wolves, as Kamloops' defense shutdown the surge before it could begin. Sudbury was held to just 9 shots for the final 40 minutes. Mike Cammalleri's shining star lit up for one last game, as he posted a goal and assist in his Calder Cup clinching victory. He finished the tournament with a league leading 12 goals and 28 points in 15 games and earned himself the MVP of the tournament.
