I will start. I believe most of us are on the side are Canadian. Can you recommend a movie you’ve seen recently that you absolutely loved that is either on crave or Netflix or Disney or Prime? My wife and I are starting to get time back on the weekends to actually watch a movie here and there so I am trying to see if there are specific movies I should put to the top of my list.

Serenity on Prime was intriguing with Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway.

Serenity on Prime was intriguing with Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. I am sort of looking for like “home run” movies. Where my wife and I can get through the winter feeling like we havent wasted any evening on a bad movie (like we did last night lol). Is Serenity a home run?

If you are looking for home runs, get the Criterion Channel.
That shit is home run after home run.
Recent home runs from Criterion for me: - The Forgiveness of Blood (2011) - A Special Day (1977) - Town Bloody Hall (1979) - King of Jazz (1930) - A Taste of Cherry (1997) - Le silence de la mer (1949) - The Other Side of Hope (2017) - Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019)
I'm not saying these are for you. But I am saying I watched these within the past 50 days and really enjoyed each of them. Most WAY more than I expected to.

I just realized I have only watched Criterion films this year. Actually...I have only watched Criterion films since December 20th.

Haven't seen Parasite yet, it's definitely higher on my list.
I've watched a lot of kid movies lately for obvious reasons lol
Recently, we got a chance to see Ponyo, which is essentially just pure unadulterated joy on film.
And The Secret World of Arrietty was pretty wonderful.
Honestly, Studio Ghibli movies are just fantastic.

Ponyo I dont remmeber most of, since I think I saw that when it came out. But getting kids into Studio Ghibli movies young is definitely excellent.
