I kinda feel like "I don't want to go back on my word" borders on a valid reason for staff to step in and reject a trade, when there were clearly and objectively better offers that would have otherwise interested you more.

FWIW, I saw that he said yes, posted the trade, then scrolled down to post the link and saw Pens' offer after it was already posted.

Minnesota Wild you're welcome to back out here, I won't pitch a fit. Obv I appreciate you still going through with it, but I couldn't blame you for taking a better offer that came before this was posted.

It's only a 4 year difference, which I get can be a bigger deal the smaller the YR, but there's been far worse that's gone unchallenged. 

And for what it's worth, MIN and I had this exact deal in place, but I decided to ship Krupp to MTL for whatever trade that was.

I think it's more just strange when people have struggling teams, are offered blatantly better deals, and then pull the trigger on something worse for arbitrary reasons.

That said, Minnesota sucks, and deserves to have his family pet kidnapped and moved to Texas to get the fuck out of my division. He knows what he did.

Ya know what, I shouldn't throw the guy under the bus like this, but it's really important to my motives and I don't want you guys thinking I'm just an ass for the sake of being an ass. And I could be wrong. But knowing Byron from ManMMA, if this kind of thing is what the dude posts that he is willing to pay for something, he will overpay like a motherfucker. If this was negotiated, especially privately, and with the team Pens has, I would not have been surprised if Minny could have got a pair of 82s in the deal, or even more.

Also, if Minny said, "I have been after Krupp forever, lets fucking do it" I would not have said a word. He wanted a generic overall, he got that, then he got that but better, and now he is being pressured into accepting the shittier of the 2 offers.

You guys are being ridiculous here.

It's an 84 F for an 82 D swap.

D are more valuable than F's.

I would've taken Tremblay from Pittsburgh who is an 82 D... with a few extra years left.

Chances are in 2-3 seasons, I'll find (or draft) a D-man better than either guy.

To even consider the thought of stepping in to stop this trade is laughable. There's guys giving up 5 years worth of 1st round picks for players and destroying their entire future. This is literally a bottom of the barrel trade to fill out the rosters for both teams. If the difference between me not sucking and me sucking is Tocchet for Uwe then I have bigger problems.

Not to mention I had Tocchet OTB for a few weeks so if Pitty was more aware, he could've swooped in earlier.

I’m rejecting too. Krupp was my best D man for a long stretch and I feel attacked.
