Bro you act like Todd Gill 81 D 5 YR for James Patrick 83 D 6 YR was such a huge charity. Neither of those players were game changers. Again, I didnt know how deep the 03 draft was, I'm new to Hockey, so I don't know historical shit well. Everyone tells me how deep that draft is after I think im making a super easy trade because I'm acquiring Jason York back who just went off for you, and all I had to give up was a 79 and most likely a 80-77. Then I learn it's likely that player is an 84-85. That would feel fucked to you too if you were in my position. |

Again, hindsight is 20-20, the odds were definitely in your favor for that pick to be a top 5 pick, and then your team ended up not even sucking. When we made that trade my team just lost in the Stanley Cup Finals. Nobody knew about me doing a rebuild so at the time that pick was valued as a low 2nd round pick in 2003 which would have been an 80-81 forward. I was guilted into moving an 83 dman, which in this league is a top 4 dman, to make up for it and I got fucked for it. Hindsight has nothing to do with it when the original trade that was made was fair and not the trade rape that everybody was making it out to be. I still stand by this |
