But continuing to think I fucked over the Islanders on that deal is ridiculous lol I was also pressured into literally gifting basically every member on this site who hasn't been a total cuck when negotiating with me multiple high end forwards.

When we made that trade my team just lost in the Stanley Cup Finals. Nobody knew about me doing a rebuild so at the time that pick was valued as a low 2nd round pick in 2003 which would have been an 80-81 forward.

I was guilted into moving an 83 dman, which in this league is a top 4 dman, to make up for it and I got fucked for it. Hindsight has nothing to do with it when the original trade that was made was fair and not the trade rape that everybody was making it out to be.
