It comes down to your preference. We will always have exciting off-seasons with the draft and trades every season, but when the regular season hits, to the deadline, do people just sit on their rosters?
Let me know how quickly you want the seasons to be. It comes down to how you feel and diving into stats and whatnot. I don't want to go quicker or slower than the site wants to be. So vote!
Note: Keep in mind we are in Era 1. Should we successfully reach present day, our final season will be whatever the present day final season will be, or possibly just a firm 2020, and then we re-set and start Era 2 with the original 1990 rosters and do it all over again.
Option 1 - 1-2 months per Week:
This would put our seasons to about 1 season per actual month. The playoffs would be broken up per round across 2 days. Throw some off-season in there and we're looking at about 10-12 actual seasons per real-life year.
Option 2 - 1 month per Week:
This would put our seasons to about 1.5-2 real-life months. With the playoffs broken up the same way. This would give us about 6-7 seasons per real-life year.
Option 3 - Other:
Submit your own take and see if others vote for your "other" suggestion.

other - 1 season every day Every day we celebrate a cup champion. Run a draft, free agency and bam, next season. We re-set every real-life month and start over.

What is everyone's fascination with sprinting through seasons?

I took the comments as a joke.
If you're referring to getting a couple months done in a week, I think it's mostly that we have a lot of exciting ground to cover and typically there isn't a lot of trade activity in-season? Maybe that's changed, but that's what I am assuming.

No, I was being serious. I debated 2 a day, but not sure we can get through a season in 12 hours, a little too tight.

Maybe after a few seasons the trade activity in-season will drop, sure. but we're still seeing trades being posted as it's a brand new league still, and folks are still setting up their teams.

I am not saying YOUR comment was a joke. I'm saying I took the Sabres comment of a season a day as a joke. Which I assumed you had as well and then said "I don't get why people love fast seasons" playing off the absurdity of a season per day, while also expressing your desire to not have super quick seasons.

I feel this as well, but then I also remind myself we have 30 seasons ahead of us, and every one of those will be exciting as well. So I am excited to get there as well. So for me, overall, the big picture scope is why I prefer faster simming.
