We changed the playoff format starting this season, this is what we were talking about at the end of season 2 for what was changing by now:

no longer divisional matchups. Now it's top of each division seeded 1 and 2, and then 3 to 8 rest of conference. Just like it was by 1995 to basically the wild card in the mid 20teens.
