Game Summary:
The curse of the third period continues in the Oilers games. It happened against the Ducks and now it's happened again against the Bolts. The game was tightly contested to that point, then the final 10 minutes fell apart. On the flip side, the Bolts continued to press and outshot the Oilers 11-7 in the third (30-26 in the game) to edge it out in Game 1. Tomas Kaberle's 3 points led the way for Tampa Bay, and Spezza was limited to just a single point in the win.

Game Summary:
This time, the third period wasn't the kryptonite for the Oilers, the second period ended up being their most dominant, despite being outshot 11-7 in the frame. A powerplay marker from Stastny set the tone, and two more goals put the game out of reach. Spezza wasn't shutdown in this game either, as he finished the night the best player on either team with 1G and 2A. What IS bizarre is that the Lightning defensively caved in the Oilers in the third, out-shooting them 5-0. They generated a goal, but no real scoring chances of their own to battle back. It will be interesting to see how Game 3 rolls, but Quick, who has been excellent, finished this game letting in 6 goals on just 13 shots.
