Oh, hello there Tomas Kaberle and your 2G 2A outing. Oh, hello there Holik and Richards and your 6 assists. A 9 goal emergence by the Lightning put them up 3-2 in the series, outshooting the Panthers 43-28 in the game. Niinima and Nolan didn’t fight and that made me sad. In the loss, Bouchard had 5 points, Perreault 4, and Nylander 3, showing that the Panthers aren’t going to go away quietly, and if the Bolts want to finish them off in 6, they are going to need all hands on deck.

This is almost a carbon copy of a previous game, where it looked close heading to the third, and the Ducks exploded, this time it was the Oilers burying 5 goals in the final frame. This earned some pissed off behaviour by Eric Lindros who gave a wicked slash to Kovalchuk and was booted from the game. Shots were 31-18 for the Oilers. Dany Heatley buried 4 goals for 5 points, Hossa contributed 4 assists, Spezza landed on 4 points, and Forsberg and Kovalchuk combined for another 6 points.
