Claude Lemieux 1G 2A, Chelios 1G 2A and Bondra 2G all chipped in to put the Capitals on the brink of elimination.

This time it was the Flames coming back deep, but a brutal interference penalty by Giordano put them on the ropes and Pronger made them pay.

Marc-Andre Fleury with an incredible 20 save shutout to shutdown the Ducks and even the series at 2-apiece. A deadlock with the defending champions.

Vokoun with a solid performance of his own, finishing with a 0.955SV% on 22 shots to even the series with the Wild.

Kovalchuk 2G 1A, Stewart 1G 2A and Johnson 3A beat up on the Wings in this one to put Detroit one game away from elimination.

Completely agree. It was a sweep, but it was 4 of the tightest and hotly contested games of the first round. A banger of a series, imo.
