Accepts, this team needs a change and adding a legend like Joe Sakic while giving no important players for it is nice. And tbh I don't really care about the picks since they are late in the era.

Moving Sakic is difficult to do since the team has finally started to click but this roster isn't getting any younger and with core pieces retiring year after year we don't have much of a team in the future. This should help us stay competitive while also preparing ourselves to be competitive in the future as well.

But I agree this is an overpayment and I needed that in order to make this move. I’m in the fight for the cup and I’m hurting myself while helping my competition so I need an overpayment to make up for it
