I will be editing all players this off-season to reflect a YR date that will not go beyond 2020. We end on the 2019-2020 season for Era 1. So all contracts for players will be re-adjusted for a max YR of 18 for the remaining seasons we have left. Anyone with anything beyond 18YR will be adjusted down to 18, so all player would technically retire at 2020, regardless of when they were drafted.
Example: If you just updated all your YR down a year for Season 13 (2002-03), and a player 19YR, he actually has 18YR. Any player with 19YR or higher will be adjusted in the program to reflect 18YR.
This will assist in perception of trade value when considering the appropriate YR remaining as any value beyond an 18YR is actually a moot point as there won't be a 2020-2021 season.
