I feel like it's kind of important to fill you guys in on what's happening in my neck of the woods so that you can understand if there are weird random delays on stuff.
Things that are currently delayed - free agency processing of cuts and the announcement of free agents, and basically day to day sims.
I intended on simming today (still do) but my window for that time shrunk a bit, and day to day it might come later or not at all, but I am still trying to go full steam ahead.
For those that don't know, I am an Industrial Recruiter. I basically interview, hire, train and schedule general and skilled labourers that perform labour duties on mine properties for contractors.
On Monday, my boss had a heart attack. He's in good spirits and doing well enough given the situation, but he will be undergoing surgery either today or tomorrow and will be out on medical leave essentially indefinitely.
As such, I have basically absorbed his entire job on top of my own. So instead of having a few hours daily to tinker with stuff on the site while I'm chatting with applicants and whatnot, it has shrunk that window down significantly.
I have it under control, but it means that the site might suffer a tad for it. I hope it does not feel that way for everyone here, so I apologize ahead of time if it does feel like it's lagging over the next few weeks, but I will be doing everything I can to keep this on track here while I navigate time management as things unfold between now and the new year.
Thank you to everyone for understanding, as I know you all do, because you're good peeps. But I just wanted to make sure you were aware and in the know so you don't think I'm randomly bailing, because I definitely am not.
I love this site and I need it now more than ever as a nice escapism from all the hectic shit in my life. So, we will still be marching forward, it just might move slower than expected.
