1) Mario's a Penguin; always will be. So no right there. It's like Gretzky as an Oiler or a King... Or Messier as an Oiler or a Ranger. Yzerman as a Wing... Paul Kariya as a Duck. Don't do it.

2) If Mario goes home back to Quebec, he'd look better in the Bleu, Blanc et Rouge than Les Nordiques.

Alright, my honest and concise opinion is this:

IF you want the best player in the deal, then you keep what you have.
IF you want your team to be stacked and maybe have a great chance to win something, and use some pieces of what you have and what you're acquiring to get a legitimate number 1 goaltender to make a run for it, then you take the deal.

I love Sakic. I love Lemieux. 3 overall difference, sure, but there's very limited people on the site who bridge those overalls. There's only one Lemieux, and there's at least a few guys in the 93-94 range.

Lemieux never left Pittsburgh. So it's a matter of what you're focusing your team on. Do you break up Jagr and Lemieux, who are two of the highest rated players on the site with almost 2 decades left on their YR AND they are in the top 5-10 in scoring in the league and could be for literally 15 seasons while you continue to build?

Or do you trade one half of the best powerhouse players in the system/game/site and hope to maintain that chemistry and have pieces to use in a trade.

That's what it comes down to. It has nothing to do with the trade being fair. On paper, you win regardless of what you do.

It's what you do NEXT that matter more.

(Also amazing offer Colorado Avalanche I really doubt anyone could ever top that).

Just know he's throwing in Tugnett bc the 84 looks nice on paper, but it's a 1B in this league compared to a 2nd line F or 2nd pair D as an 84. I'd condition the pick top 10 that it'll just slide to next year and I'd ask for 22 Shawn S. Anderson 79 D 5 YR for like any of your 77 D. Don't want to trade a 1st with holes in the lineup.

I would keep Mario and Jagr and trade everybody else. Keep the two guys that he knows and that will make it fun for him and then he still has so many players that are great players that he can trade and pick up players that he knows and would maybe like himself

No, I was born in Edmonton. My cousin Todd was friends Sather's kid, Dana, if I remember correctly... I was 5-6 at the time, we went to a practice at the "Cathedral". Slats came down to us in the stands, took us down to the dressing room... Said he wasn't able to take us back and Wayne stood up said he'd give us a lift. It ended up being the Dave Brown trade that brought him to Edmonton.
