He's trying to say we're a bunch of morons for not drafting a guy who isn't eligible until the '98 draft class, which is; - Rude to you, because unlike Quebec, at least you know what playoff hockey feels like - Just solidifying how dumb he is for trying to push an ineligible player to be drafted

Players at 18 are eligible for the draft. St. Louis is 19 now and is ready for the NHL. Pushing his eligibility is a robbery to fans and his career. Hell, we’ll even draft his rights now and wait until he’s done college. But at 19 years old, according to the rules of the NHL, he’s eligible to be drafted. In fact, Brashear is actually too old to be drafted and should be a free agent.

9. The DraftThe draft will consist of 2 rounds (though you will likely only use 1 round, to be honest). A list of "top prospects" will be posted from the year in which a player was drafted in real life. (i.e. 1991 Draft will consist of Lindros, Forsberg, etc). The list will include all eligible players, including undrafted players, as long as they made their NHL debut in that year (i.e. our 1991 draft will include undrafted stars who made their NHL debut in the 1991-92 NHL season). Do you ever read the rules, my dude? Looks like I'm bringing this back up again, because our dude can't read fucking rules set in stone.

The rules in this league are if you were an undrafted player than you have to wait till you played your first nhl game which for St.Louis is the 98 draft according to flames. If this wasn’t clearly stated in the rules I would applaud you but it is so it sucks for you and thankfully for us it was posted

And by these standards there will never be draft steals, 2nds will always have zero value, star players that should be playing are stuck cause we’re following the shitty decisions made by prior teams that we’re supposed to be fixing.
St. Louis not being drafted shouldn’t hold us back from drafting him now rather than in 1998 or whenever a team finally realized he was a good player.
Any player should be eligible to be drafted at 18, if I saw that dumb rule before I would’ve argued it cause it’s legit stupid and a waste of a player’s talent.

Colorado Avalanche you're not the first one to have this idea bud. If it was allowed, he would have been drafted last season and you wouldn't be getting him now anyway. You're not going to win this one. Just draft someone else and quit wasting time.

Well can somebody update the list cause I got no clue who’s available. I was gonna do St. Louis and Boyle but y’all are clearly scared of losing out on them and are being a bunch of pansies.

I think someone trying to circumvent the draft is the one who is the pansy.
If you take a look at the ranked players pretty well right down to zednik are taken

Just in case Quebec and anybody new are apparently the only people that did not know we do this, all undrafted players come into the draft of the year they started their first NHL season.
