Whalers has had a chance to look around and knows what he is doing?
He knows overalls are static, he knows the numbers are not contracts, but years until retirement, and he knows the overall scale (meaning Francis is the 12th best player on the site, and Burke is about the 20th best goaltender, meaning he is almost a backup?) - things like that, yes?

i'm read as much as I could on this in terms on how the it works. I'll probably accept these initial trades that come in and just see what happens. I play enough competitive stuff that makes me say...lets go to this, I just wanna mess around and learn the process, I'll just roll with whatever.
With that said...if i'm screwing it up, thats part of learning too

So this happens about once in a millenia, but I agree with Kruze (OMFG right?!?) Though I hate to screw over a Cook trade, I think with even a TINY bit more patience, Whalers can do (way) better on any deal involving Francis.

so ... lets uh, hold off on trades. i thought i understood the overalls, the contracts... how the rosters are work...like how the whalers are exempt from roster cutting but I didn't do that deep of a dive on the player scaling. I understood that the whalers had a goaltender issue this year --- they did for real in 90 lol

Not a big deal, and hopefully for XX - Former Devils - XX you guys can still get something worked out. But I would strongly recommend reviewing the Ratings Review page just so you can see how many guys at specific overalls there are, and that can help you recognize player value. |

wow ok rejected I didn't think it was that bad and that I would be attacked wow. I guess I really don't understand the way this one works. I will just stick with what I have. I thought he really needed a Goalie better than 77. But you guys can have them. I like my team the way it is. Only wanted Francis

It's everyones job to look out for everyone, especially early, and make sure new people understand everything. Because we are doing something a little different here. I'm sure you'll get yuour Francis deal done soon. I just want the new guy to be able to make informed decisions with his trades, just like I talked to you about your trade when you signed up as well.  |

No I won't be getting Francis. I was hoping that I would be able to move Burke and help him out but apparently he is only a backup. I knew as soon as I saw Kruze and everybody it was going to be just like old times. There was a good reason to not want to come back into this. I guess I should have just taken Hartford to have Francis. But they are really weak at goalie and defense and it will take a lot to build it up. Good Luck Hartford.
